Boris Kolodner Financial Services (“BK Financial Services”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your personal information and handling it responsibly and in compliance with applicable privacy laws.

By using our website, submitting a form, booking a consultation, or communicating with us, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this policy, subject to your right to withdraw consent where applicable.

We may collect the following categories of information:
A. Information you provide voluntarily
- Name, email address, phone number
- Information you include in contact/booking forms (message, preferred dates, goals)
- Documents or data you choose to share for planning purposes (e.g., notices, statements), if applicable
- Online forms & appointment booking (Amelia). When you contact us through the website form, we collect your name, email, phone number, and message. When you book a consultation through our online calendar (Amelia), we collect your name and contact details, your selected date/time, and any notes you choose to include for the appointment.
B. Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, dates/times, referring pages
- Cookies and similar technologies (see section 6)
C. Comments (if enabled)
If you leave a comment on our website, we may collect the data shown in the comment form, your IP address, and browser user-agent string to help with spam detection. An anonymized string (hash) created from your email address may be provided to Gravatar to see if you use the service; your profile picture may be visible publicly next to your comment once approved.
4) How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to inquiries and provide consultations/services
- Schedule appointments, confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups
- Maintain client records and comply with legal/regulatory obligations
- Improve our website and user experience (analytics, performance, security)
- Send information or marketing communications only where permitted and/or with your consent
- To manage consultation bookings (Amelia), send booking confirmations by email, and handle rescheduling/cancellations.

We do not sell your personal information.

- Service providers (e.g., website hosting, scheduling tools, email systems, analytics) who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations
- Professional advisors (e.g., legal/accounting) where required for compliance

Appointment booking tool (Amelia).
We use the Amelia scheduling plugin on our WordPress website to manage appointments. Booking data is stored in our website’s system and is used only for scheduling and communication related to your appointment.Email-only notices.

At this time, we send booking-related notices by email only (no SMS marketing). If SMS reminders are introduced in the future, we will request consent and update this policy accordingly.
6) Cookies (“cookies” / “témoins”)

Calendar integration (not currently enabled).
We do not currently sync bookings to Google Calendar. If internal calendar synchronization is enabled in the future for scheduling purposes, booking details may appear in Boris Kolodner’s calendar account. Clients will not have access to that calendar. We will update this policy if such integration is activated.
8) Media uploads (if applicable)
If you upload images to the website (if that feature exists), avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS), as visitors may be able to extract that information.
9) Retention of information
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including legal, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
If comments are enabled, comments and related metadata may be retained to recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically.
10) Security measures
We maintain safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or modification. These may include:
